Camp Noel Porter Board
Lifelong Christian Formation Liaison

The Rev. Anne Clarke

Occupation and Employment: I have been the Lifelong Christian Formation Coordinator for our diocese since 2015.

Education: I graduated from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in May of 2015 with a dual Master of Divinity/Master of Arts degree (with a focus on faith formation).

Previous Employment: During my time at CDSP, I was the Children and Family Ministry Coordinator at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Benicia, CA for three years. During that time, we worked together to build more sustainable leadership team and structure for ministries with young people in the congregation. Before seminary, I was on staff at St. John’s Cathedral in Los Angeles, working in communication and with young adult ministries. I also worked for several years in education.

Camp Experience: I attended a Christian camp in Michigan as a child, and was also an active part of my youth group at church, which took part in many large events for young people. All of those experiences were powerful parts of my own faith journey, and I am enthusiastic about supporting similar experiences for a new generation of young people here in Northern California.

Why I’m excited to serve on the Camp Noel Porter Board: Camping and retreat ministries are crucial aspects of faith formation for people of all ages, aspects that I truly believe we all need to work hard to lift up, encourage, support, and re-vision. Places like Camp Noel Porter, where we can come away to a different and beautiful space to grow in faith and learn about Jesus, will only become more important as we seek to be disciples doing God’s work in the world today. As I work to support and encourage all kinds of faith formation work across our diocese, I am incredibly grateful and excited to be a part of the CNP board at this time, as it does the hard work of stewarding and planning for a sustainable, missional, life-giving camp and retreat center in our diocese at this moment in time.
