Camp Noel Porter Board
Board Member

Steve Pierce

Occupation and Employment: I have been working in the Tahoe-Truckee real estate market as an agent for the past 11 years, and more recently as an appraiser.

Education: I attended San Diego State University and earned a BA in Art.

Previous Employment: Prior to entering the real estate field, my wife and I owned and operated an ice cream parlor in Tahoe City.

Episcopalian since: I was raised in the Roman Catholic tradition. My wife introduced me to the Episcopal Church while we were in college and I “converted” just prior to our marriage in 1993.

Church Involvement: My wife and I first started attending St. Nicholas when we moved to the area in 1996. I have served on the Mission Committee of St. Nicholas since about 1999 or 2000. I have served as the Junior Warden in the past and I am currently serving as the Senior Warden. My three children have all been Baptized at St. Nicholas.

Camp Experience: I have served as a Camp Noel Porter Board Member in the past and my son enjoyed camp every year he attended.

Why I’m excited to serve on the Camp Noel Porter Board: The Camp is closely linked to St Nicholas, both in proximity and in Spirit. I am excited to be a part of the important process of discernment and transition.

Personal Information: My wife Debi and I have been married since 1993 and have three children, two in high school and one in elementary school.
