Board Member

The Rev. Seth Kellermann

Occupation and Employment: I have served as rector at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Grass Valley, CA for 7 years.

Education: I attended Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA and earned a BA in English Literature. I attended seminary at Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry in Ambridge, PA and graduated with a MDiv.

Previous Employment: Before I came to the Diocese of Northern California, I served in the Diocese of Dallas as an associate priest at Church if the Epiphany, Richardson, TX, and associate priest/chief of staff at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, Frisco, TX. Before being ordained I served in the Army as an Airborne Ranger and led a machine gun team in Afghanistan.

Episcopalian since: I was born into an Episcopal family and after a hiatus from the church returned when I was 17.

Church Involvement: Within this diocese I have served on a couple boards, first the Diocesan Council and then Board of Trustees, where I was vice president for my last year.

Camp Experience: I was a chaplain at the Middle Camp at Camp Noel Porter in 2014 and all my kids assisted me or attended the camp. I also served as a chaplain at All Saints Camp and Conference Center in TX.

Why I’m excited to serve on the Camp Noel Porter Board: I feel a particular call to revitalizing challenged ministries and so I relish the chance to be a part of the board during this very important time.

Personal Information: I am married and Tara and I have four daughters from high school to elementary school.
